Gut Health: When Probiotics Aren't Enough (True Story with Real Results)

Tyler Lafleur
Gut health, probiotics
I am sure most of our readers by now have heard of “probiotics” and what a key role the health of the gut plays in overall health and immunity, but most Americans (that goes for doctors and patients alike) don’t realize that you can actually test to see how healthy your gut and digestion currently are.

One of our members recently took control of their own gut health and wanted to get down to the root of what was causing her frequent diarrhea and stomach cramping. This is in spite of the fact that she eats a fairly healthy diet (which is always out first go-to in regards to troubleshooting the problem) and takes frequent high quality probiotics.

For the sake of the brevity of this article and how in-depth these results can actually get, I will allow the red and yellow colors below to do most of the heavy lifting in regards to assessing gut health, even if you don’t currently have poor digestive or absorption symptoms. For example, with other autoimmune issues such as Lupus, Hashimoto’s, Rheumatoid Arthritis, or other issues such as migraines or frequent skin irritations.

The segment below shows how poor her pancreatic functioning currently is. With low elastase, we can see that she is not producing the amount of digestive enzymes that is required for full nutrient absorption. Also, with the increased b-glucoronidase, she is setting up problems with removing excess hormones from the body; particularly estrogen.

But the kicker? See below. Most people go years without knowing that they have parasites or worms hitching a ride within their intestines. These little vampires stay attached to the intestinal walls and can wreak havoc from an inflammation standpoint in the gut.

They can also cause some fairly bad bouts of diarrhea. The good news is that with the proper protocol and another follow up test, we can be sure that she has rid herself of these unwelcome guests.

I haven’t met any patients or members thus far who would prefer just to roll the dice when it comes to parasitic infections or unhealthy bacteria overgrowth in the gut.
